2 Soggy Happy Hens

Today is the first rainy day in several weeks, (maybe a month or more?!) so I thought I would show you some photos of the soggy 2 happy hens. Giblet is doing a runner in this photo and is scared of the camera, unlike her sister Curry who loves showing off for the paparazzi!

Soggy "Dora the Explorer" in our laundry. Rain, hail or shine, the chicken loves to come inside!

I love the footprints the 2 happy hens make on rainy days. It almost looks like Curry has walked down the catwalk (or should that be "chicken walk"?!) and stopped to pose for the photo!

Photo Time

A rare photo of the 2 happy hens in their nesting boxes in the coop. Curry is sitting on the left hand side making "pew pew" noises whilst Giblet sits peacefully on the right hand side getting ready to lay an egg. It is rare to see the 2 happy hens sitting in the 2 boxes at once. My mum reckons this photo reminds her of a scene on an Easter greeting card.

This photo titled "Saturday morning sun bake" was made into 100 limited edition Christmas postcards for personal distribution in 2010. I handed out so many Christmas postcards I ran out and didn't have enough to send to some of the overseas relatives!

Photo of Curry in the garden. It's amazing the daisy bush is still thriving and has proved to be
"chicken proof".

Curry on the verandah on a wet afternoon. I love the footprints chickens make.
Curry's comb and wattle is so big she could be mistaken for a rooster!

Introducing the 2 Happy Hens

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my new blog to showcase my 2 pet chickens named Curry and Giblet.  Due to popular demand, I've created a blog so people all over the world can enjoy the latest photos and stories on my 2 funny, feathered friends.

My goal was to create the blog at Easter time, which is a traditional and symbolic time for eggs (and chickens of course!); however Curry went on strike on Easter Sunday and never produced an egg whilst Giblet laid a perfect egg in the nest to be enjoyed for Easter breakfast!

For my first blog post, I will introduce the two happy hens with their individual biography.
